This Morning With Ray Dunaway July 1st 2014
Here’s what’s coming up this morning with Ray Dunaway.
6:50- Natalie Joubert leads the Consumer Energy Alliance policy team, and she is on the air. According to the federal Energy Information Administration, as of Monday, the national average for a gallon of regular gasoline reached $3.70. That’s 13¢ higher than a year ago at this time, and it matches the previous high thus far in 2014, set in late April. Though summer is typically the time when gas prices rise, the current turmoil in Iraq is also being blamed for the persistently high prices.
7:20- David Alistair Yalof, Professor and Department Head, University of Connecticut Department of Political Science is on with Ray. The Supreme Court dealt a blow to the powers of the presidency Thursday, ruling decisively that President Obama violated the Constitution by going around the Senate to name key labor and financial watchdogs. Resolving a longstanding battle between the two other branches of government, the justices declared invalid key “recess appointments” made by Obama in 2012.
8:50- Dr. Paul Ruggieri, a practicing surgeon and author of the blockbuster book Confessions of a Surgeon, where he exposes what really happens in the operating room.
