State Unemployment In May Unchanged From April, At 6.9%

(CBS Connecticut) — The Connecticut Labor Department has released job figures for the month of May.

Unemployment remained unchanged at 6.9 percent.  About 5,800 jobs were added in the state,  the fourth straight month of increases after the loss of some 10,000 over the winter.

Labor Department research director Andy Condon says the state has gained back about 60 percent of the jobs lost during the recession.
