Milford Police Investigating Car Fires At Silver Sands State Park

MILFORD, Conn. (AP) _ Milford police are looking for suspects who broke into 15 cars and set six of them on fire near Silver Sands State Park

Officials say the break-ins and fires occurred Sunday night and early Monday morning on several streets near the park. Police say most of the vehicles weren’t locked and thieves made off with money, GPS devices and other items.

No injuries were reported.

Police say they will be increasing patrols in the area.

Authorities are urging residents to lock their vehicles and report any suspicious activity to police.
