Milford Police Tackle Car Vandalism Spree

(Milford, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – Police in Milford are investigating after they say a number of vehicles were broken into and some set afire overnight.

Officers say the incidents took place on Carlson Drive, Breakneck Lane, Mayflower Place and West Mayflower Place.

According to a preliminary investigation, four cars were torched and nine vehicles were broken into.

Police say the items taken from the vehicles included GPS units, money, and other personal belongings.

They say a majority of the vehicles were left unlocked.

Residents are being reminded to secure their vehicles and report any suspicious activity.
