Geno Auriemma Shares His Thoughts On WTIC NewsTalk 1080

(CBS Connecticut) –– Filling in as afternoon host on WTIC NewsTalk 1080 Wednesday,  University of Connecticut women’s basketball coach Geno Auriemma talked about UConn’s entry into the American Athletic Conference and about football as a driving force in college athletics.

In response to a question from a caller wondering whether the new Rock Cats Stadium planned for Hartford would affect improvements for the X-L Center,  Auriemma said a visitor would be “astonished at the lack of things that we don’t have that we need” —  and would be hard put to believe that the arena is home to the two best basketball teams in America.
