TORRINGTON, Conn. (CBS Connecticut) _ Nineteen rabbits, a cat and two dogs living in deplorable conditions at a Hayden Hill Road home in Torrington are now looking for new homes after they were seized in late April during a well-being check on the homeowner, Tracy Mailhot.

Tuesday, police arrested the 48-year-old Mailhot on 22 counts of animal cruelty among other charges, following a further investigation.

Four chickens were also seized from a coop in the yard. They have found a new home.
