BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) _ A woman convicted in the child-sex case of former Waterbury Mayor Philip Giordano has been sentenced to time served for failing to register as a sex offender and violating the conditions of her release from prison.

The U.S. Attorney’s office says the woman, who has been detained since her arrest a year ago, was sentenced Friday in Bridgeport.

Prosecutors say the woman moved to Florida after she was denied permission to live there and failed to register as a sex offender in Florida.

The Associated Press is not naming her to protect the identities of the victims.

She was sentenced in 2003 to 10 years in federal prison followed by three years of supervised released for conspiring to entice her preteen daughter and niece into performing sex acts with Giordano.
