Two Killed In Route 6 Accident

NORTH WINDHAM, Conn. ( CBS Connecticut/AP) _ Two people have died after a collision between a car and pickup on Route 6 in North Windham.

State police say the accident happened at about 7 a.m. Thursday near Station Road at the Chaplin town line.

Police say a pickup truck was eastbound near the Station Road intersection when it hit a Ford Escort which was crossing Route 6.  Both the driver and passenger in the car were pronounced dead at the scene.  They’re identified as 48-year-old Norman Holland and 44-year-old Holly Holland of Willimantic. The truck driver,  53-year-old Michael Snow of Ellington, was not injured.

They’re asking anyone with information about the accident to call state police in Colchester.
