No Tornado in New Milford

NEW MILFORD, Conn. (CBS Connecticut) –  The storm damage in New Milford during a severe thunderstorm Tuesday evening was caused by  straight line winds, not a tornado.

The National Weather Service  says winds  reached up to 100 miles per hour.The damage path  was a mile wide and  seven miles  long. Damage along the path was intermittent.

The Weather Service say the information is preliminary and is subject to change.
