Alarm Thwarts Attempted Burglary

(Wolcott, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – In Wolcott, police are investigating an attempted burglary at a residence in town.

Around 3 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a residential alarm at a home on Woodtick Road.

Investigators say it appears as if the suspect was scared off by the sound of an alarm because he left without taking anything.

The suspect’s image was captured by a video surveilance system.

In pictures released by Wolcott police, the suspect appears to be white, in his early to mid-20s, and sporting a tattooo on his right forearm.

He’s wearing a white tee shirt and blue shorts.

The suspect entered the home after exiting the passenger side of a mid-sized silver vehicle that had been parked nearby, according to police.

Anyone with any information is asked to get in touch with Wolcott police.
