Threat Closes Bristol Central

(Bristol, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – A threat has prompted school officials to dismiss Bristol Central High School for the day.

Principal Pete Wininger tweeted that students were to be allowed back into the building to retrieve their belongings at 12:30.

He said the building was emptied, and students were safe.

After school activities were also cancelled

Police dog teams cleared the buildings.

Wininger said a written message was found on a desk, claiming a bomb would go of today, at 10:46.

A person in the school superintendent’s office says the threat was received early this morning.
