New Haven Police Offer Update On Shootings

(New Haven, Conn./CBS Connecticut) - New Haven police have an update on four shootings from Monday, three in one incident.

They say 19-year-old Tayvon Tucker was shot in the back while walking along Dixwell Avenue around six p.m.

Authorities say he sustained a lower back wound and is in critical but stable condition.

Around ten p.m., three men were wounded in a shooting on Quinnipiac Avenue near Eastern Street.

Officers say when they arrived, they discovered 23-year-old Jaquet Jacobs, 21-year-old Ian Alston, and 20-year-old Vincent Clark.

Alston is in critical but stable condition with thigh and wrist wounds.  Clark is in critical but stable condition after being shot in the abdomen.

Jacobs sustained non life-threatening injuries.

Anyone with any information on the shootings is asked to call New Haven detectives.
