University Of Hartford Students Asked To Stay Inside During Police Investigation

Students at the University of Hartford were briefly asked to shelter in place overnight.

The school issued a message telling students to stay inside, because of police activity.

Hartford Police say the incident involved a car crash at Sigourney Street and Albany Avenue, in which a driver evaded responsibility, trying to leave the scene.

Police say there was no threat to campus.  They say a person is in custody in connection with the incident.

The school says there is no indication that anyone involved in the crash was on campus
