HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Connecticut Gov. Dannel P. Malloy is in Washington D.C. discussing the state’s rollout of the Affordable Care Act.

The Democrat was scheduled Tuesday morning to participate in an event sponsored by the Center for American Progress on the implementation of the federal health care overhaul law.

Malloy has touted Connecticut’s efforts to enroll people in health insurance plan through Access Health CT, the state’s insurance marketplace, as a model for the country. Access Health CT enrolled more than 208,000 people in private insurance plans and Medicaid during the open enrollment period, which ended March 31.

Malloy is also scheduled on Tuesday to address the National Association of Insurance Commissioners at the group’s annual international insurance forum.
