Chase Denies Islanders-Hartford Speculation

HARTFORD (CBS Connecticut) –– Hartford businessman Arnold Chase is putting to rest Twitter and Facebook speculation that Chase Enterprises is putting a foot onto the ice in the National Hockey League.

Rumors swept fan sites Monday that the Chase family would be purchasing the New York Islanders and moving them to Hartford’s XL Center.  The New York Rangers AHL affiliate, the Hartford WolfPack currently play their home games at the XL Center.

“This rumor is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard, ” Chase told WTIC’s Scott Gray.  “It’s total fantasy .  With all due respect,  sports is the last thing on my mind.  I have no idea who the Islanders are.”
