State Police Make Weapons Arrest

(CBS Connecticut) _ State Police are charging two people with attempting to sell stolen rifles.

Under arrest are Chaz Joseph St. George, 25 of Griswold, and Falicia Viscione, 20 of Montville.

St. George is a convicted felon they say should not have been in possession of a firearm. He’s being held on $100,000 bond. Viscione is free on $5,000 bond.

They were picked up Thursday after troopers say they spotted the pair and confirmed two rifles in their possession. Troopers later determined one of the rifles as being an assault weapon, banned in the state.

St. George faces a number of charges including weapons in a vehicle, firearms trafficking, sale and transfer of assault weapons and stealing a firearm. Viscione is facing similar charges.
