(CBS Connecticut) — It was a tricky morning commute for drivers in the Hartford area Monday as a band of snow hit parts of Central Connecticut at the height of the morning rush hour, making for slippery driving conditions. Traffic on Route 44 over Avon Mountain in Avon/West Hartford 175 over Cedar Mountain in Newington/Wethersfield and Route 6 in Farmington were among the roads which were impassable at times.
Slow-going traffic and occasional spinouts caused problems on Route 9 and Interstates 84 and 91. A spin-out affected the ramp from the Wilbur Cross Parkway to Interstate 91 northbound.
