WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (CBS Connecticut) _ One person was killed in a three-vehicle crash on New Britain Avenue under the railroad overpass just east of New Park Avenue Sunday night.
The crash, which happened around 6:44 p.m., involved a head-on collision by vehicles traveling opposite directions on New Britain Avenue. A third vehicle then crashed into the rear of one of the cars.
The driver of the vehicle hit head-on was killed. The other two drivers suffered injuries and were taken to Hartford Hospital.
That area of New Britain Avenue was closed until 2:30 a.m.
No one involved has been identified.
Police expect to release more details later Monday morning.
