BRISTOL, Conn. (CBS Connecticut) _ The store owner at the Discount Tobacco in Bristol Commons Plaza at 123 Farmington Ave. was arrested Friday night in a drug sting.

Police found synthetic marijuana being sold and arrested store owner Sharjil Khan, 45 of Bristol, and charged him with possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and possession of a controlled substance within 1500-feet of a school/daycare.

Khan was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and is due in Bristol Superior Court April 14.

A total of 226 packages totaling 1,181.8 grams of product were seized with a resale value of $3,0604.74.

A second man, Muhammad Khan, 35, was arrested for possessing cigarettes that were not taxed by the State of Connecticut.
