SHELTON, Conn. (AP) – Church bells rang and hundreds of people gathered in Shelton as a local teenager was laid to rest while police continue searching for his killer.

The funeral for Kristjan Ndog was held Thursday morning at St. Joseph’s Church and he was buried at Mount St. Peter’s Cemetery in Hamden.

Relatives from his native Albania attended the service, which included songs and scripture readings in both English and Albanian.

The 15-year-old Shelton High School sophomore was found shot in the head and leg in the driveway of a local home March 15 and died five days later.

Police say they’re investigating numerous tips, including reports that Kristjan was threatened before being shot.

Kristjan’s relatives pleaded with anyone who has information on the shooting to call Shelton police.
