Plainfield Police Probe Double Stabbing

(Plainfield, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – A double stabbing overnight in Plainfield has police investigating.

Officers were called to the emergency room of Backus Hospital around one a.m.

Already there was 22-year-old Shawn Thomas of Plainfield.

Investigators say he was involved in some type of alterncation at the Music Lady Cafe in the parking lot.

Another man, 23-year-old James Maynard, also of Plainfield, was stabbed in the same lot.

He was transported to Hartford Hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries and is in stable condition.

Plainfield police are urging anyone with any information in the case or who may have witnessed anything to call them at 860-564-0804 or try the anonymous tip line at 860-564-7065.
