Suspect In New Britain Man’s Death In Court This Afternoon

(New Britain, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – The man accused in the death nearly two years ago of a elderly man in New Britain is due in court today.

Thirty-two-year-old Alexis Rodriguez is charged in the beating death of 71-year-old James Joseph, Sr. May 13, 2012.

Rodriguez is due at two p.m. in New Britain Superior Court.

Investigators say Rodriguez and Joseph knew one another and that robbery was the most likely motive in the killing.

The suspect was already behind bars on unrelated charges at the time of his arrest in the Joseph killing.
