Police Arrest Man On Forgery, Identity Theft Charges

(South Windsor, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – A man being held on unrelated charges was arrested Friday by South Windsor police in connection with a fraud investigation.

Police say 33-year-old Jeremy Broad was arrested at Manchester Superior Court.

He’s facing 16 counts each of conspiracy to commit forgery, identity theft, and conspiracy to commit larceny.

The arrest stems from a 2013 investigator in which a resident reported their checkbook stolen.

Sixteen checks were cashed using a fraudulent identity and police say they have surveilance footage linking Broad to teh crimes.

He’s being held on $45,000 and is being arraigned today.
