Hartford Police Make Arrest In Club Shooting

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) _ Police in Hartford have arrested a 24-year-old man they accuse of sneaking back into a club following an altercation with security and firing a handgun into a crowded dance floor, wounding an East Hartford man.

Hartford Deputy Police Chief Brian Foley announced on Saturday that 24-year-old Bobby Fair was arrested Friday on charges stemming from the Jan. 25 shooting at the Cleveland Cafe. Bond was set at $750,000

Police say investigations revealed that the Hartford man was thrown out of the cafe, but returned and went to a partially open rear door to the club, produced a gun and randomly fired a shot. The bullet hit a 33-year-old man in the right forearm.

Police say Fair fled the scene undetected, but investigators built a case against him.

It wasn’t immediately clear if he has a lawyer.
