HAMDEN, Conn. (CBS Connecticut) _ The Quinnipiac University men’s ice hockey team will host Yale University for the 2014 ECAC Hockey Championship Tournament best-of-three quarterfinals on March 14-16 at High Point Solutions Arena at the TD Bank Sports Center.

No. 6 Quinnipiac (22-8-6, 12-6-4 Hockey) clinched the third seed with a win at St. Lawrence two weeks ago. No. 16 Yale (17-9-5, 10-8-4 ECAC Hockey), the six seed, swept Harvard in its first round series at Ingalls Rink in New Haven this past weekend to advance to the quarterfinals.

The two teams squared off in last year’s NCAA Championship game, with Yale winning its first ever men’s ice hockey title.

All games will be at 7 p.m. with Sunday’s game three only played if necessary.
