Clinton Police Make Arrest In Shaken Baby Death

CLINTON, Conn. (CBS Connecticut) _ Clinton police have arrested the 18-year-old father of an infant girl on a manslaughter charge in a shaken baby case.

Police say Reushawn Foster —  who was 17 at the time of the baby’s death —  was the father of an eight-year-old baby who died of blunt head trauma a few days after being admitted to Yale-New Haven Hospital a year ago.

In February, police arrested the teen in South Carolina, where he was arrested in Columbia and charged as a fugitive from justice.

He was returned to the state yesterday and charged with manslaughter and placed in a juvenile detention center, currently held on $750,000 bond.

The infant’s 16-year-old mother is not charged in the case.
