Police Arrest Woman After Boy Injured In Hit-And-Run

NORWICH, Conn. (CBS Connecticut) – Norwich police have made an arrest in a hit-and-run incident that injured a 10-year-old boy Friday evening.

Theresa Morgan, 54, of the Taftville section of town is charged with evading responsibility after she drove away from the scene on Norwich Avenue. Police later caught up with Morgan and arrested her.

Authorities say the boy was taken to William W. Backus Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries after Morgan’s vehicle struck the child around 7pm.

Morgan was released on bond and is due in court on March 11th.
