NEW HAVEN, Conn. (CBS Connecticut) _ No one was injured when a Shore Line East train carrying 14 passengers derailed around 5 p.m. Monday.

Shoreline East is operated by the State Department of Transportation, not Metro-North.

DOT Spokesman Judd Everhart said it’s a very minor derailment on a train that was heading westbound into New Haven.

Passengers were transferred to a second Amtrak train and there were delays of 30 to 60 minutes.
