Connecticut stays No. 1 in The Associated Press poll Monday after cruising to easy wins this week.

UConn improved to 28-0 after routing Central Florida and Houston. The Huskies have won 34 straight games dating back to last season which is the fourth-longest streak in school history. UConn will play at SMU on Tuesday before hosting Rutgers on Saturday.

Notre Dame stays No. 2. The Irish also remain unbeaten after sweeping three games against Georgia Tech, Wake Forest and Duke to clinch their first ACC title in the school’s inaugural season in the conference.

Louisville, South Carolina and Stanford round out the first five.

Baylor, Duke, Penn State, Maryland and Tennessee follow the Cardinal.

Middle Tennessee and Iowa entered the poll at 23 and 25 while St. John’s and LSU dropped out.
