ROCKVILLE, Conn. (AP) — A woman who faces 20 years in prison for stealing nearly $380,000 from a public access TV station in Bolton faces arrest after her second hospital stay delayed her sentencing.
Deborah Hilton, who pleaded guilty in December to larceny, was scheduled to be sentenced on Friday. It was continued from Feb. 14 after she checked into a hospital.
The Journal Inquirer reports that she entered another hospital on Friday.
Judge Jorge A. Simon ordered that Hilton be arrested and charged with failure to appear once she is released from the hospital. He set bond at $250,000.
Her lawyer said Hilton could not be released and that the doctor was reluctant to provide a sworn statement.
The lawyer for employees at the Community Voice Channel accused Hilton of playing games.
