Police Make Arrest In Enfield Arson

(Enfield, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – There’s been an arrest in connection with a fire last month at a target store in the Enfield Square Mall.

Police Chief Carl Sferrazza says they obtained two arrest warrants.

He says 19-year-old Erica Anderson is charged.

The chief says they obtained video that shows Anderson and an accomplice setting the January 27 fire as a way to create a diversion while shoplifting.

Sferrazza says firefighters were able to make quick work of the smokey blaze, adding that it could have been much worse.

Anderson is being held on $200,000 bond.

She faces charges of arson, conspiracy, reckless endangerment, and larceny.
