Don’t Worry About Job Growth, We’ll Have Free Tap Water
You have to wonder what legislators are thinking sometimes. We are still in the middle of an economic recession and the legislators still fiddle away time and opportunity.
The business community is looking for a sign that they are serious about improving the climate for job growth, in other words what are the taxes going to be, the cost of health insurance, what is the regulatory climate and is Connecticut a state that is really open for business? Instead we see legislators pandering to labor by introducing legislation to “require the teaching of labor history, including collective bargaining ” in all of our public schools across Connecticut.
They are still considering more legislation on “running bamboo” and my favorite this week, a legislator actually introduced legislation “requiring bars and restaurant to give tap water for free “, we need laws for that?
Have you ever heard of a bar or restaurant charging for tap water? So while Rome burns, jobs are lost, residents move out of state, the legislators fiddle.
