NORWALK, Conn. (AP) _ Authorities say a Metro-North train on the Danbury line has struck an unoccupied van in Norwalk but no injuries have been reported.
The Hour reports that the train had 100 passengers on board when it struck the van at the Glover Avenue crossing near the Meritt 7 office complex around 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
One of the crossing rails was bent and the van was pushed into a snowbank. It was unclear whether the owner of the van was facing any charges.
The train was stalled for about an hour while police investigated.
