Man Arrested After Engaging Three Police Departments

(Glastonbury, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – A Cromwell man is facing charges after he alledgely drove recklessly and engaged officers from three departments in pursuit.

The incident occurred in the wee hours of Wednesday morning and came to an end when Glastonbury police arrested 62-year-old Kwok Chung.

Glastonbury officers were tipped off by Middletown and Cromwell police that Chung had driven reckless and engaged those officers in pursuit.

He then allegedly entered Glastonbury via Route 17.

Police in that town say Chung ignored orders to stop.

Police say he ended up hitting a Glastonbury police vehicle before finally being stopped.

Chung faces a slew of charges including DUI, engaging police in pursuit, reckless driving, driving under suspension, and interfering with police, among others.

He’s being held on $75,000 bond.

Police say Chung has had multiple arrests for DUI in the past.
