State Police Release Name of Man Killed In Colchester Accident

(Colchester, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – State police have released the name of a man killed in an accident this morning in Colchester.

They say just after 2:30, a Chevy Silverado driven by 22-year-old Charles Malloy left the road while traveling on Route 354 east of Maclyn Drive.

The vehicle then struck a utility pole, breaking it in half.

Malloy was pronounced dead at the scene.

The damage to the pole caused power line to fall across the roadway.

Investigators are still trying to determine what caused Malloy to lose control of the vehicle.
