Bond Raised For Defendant In Bristol Stabbing

BRISTOL (CBS Connecticut) — The judge in Bristol Superior Court Monday raised bond to $2 million for a 26-year-old Bristol man accused of stabbing another man at a party. 19-year-old Joey Klett, widely known in Bristol, died in the incident January 25.

Authorities in North Carolina took Joshua Daniels into custody.   A witness told police that Daniels had been yelling at Klett, telling him to stop staring.  Defense attorney Gerald Klein called it a tragedic case of a fight that escalated.

In the arrest warrant, police say they have a photograph of Daniels at the party.  A witness reports seeing Daniels take out a black knife, during the confrontation.
