Driver Killed In Wrong-Way Accident

State Police say a wrong-way driver was killed in an accident on oute 7 in Brookfield overnight.  Police say the driver,   whose name has not been released,  was southbound  in the left northbound lane of the divided highway.

Police say the driver of the northbound Jeep, swerved, trying to avoid the southbound Saturn, which hit him head-on, and the Jeep’s left front tirerolled over the hood, windshield and roof of the Saturn.  The Jeep’s driver and passenger,  identified as 39-year-old-Michael Finn of Brookfield and 29-year-old Meghan Harrison of New Milford,  were taken to Danbury Hospital.  The driver of the Saturn was pronounced dead at the scene.
