Injured New Britain Police Officer Leaves Hospital
NEW BRITAIN — (CBS Connecticut) — New Britain police say Officer Brett Morgan, hospitalized last month after being dragged down a Wilcox Street Driveway by a stolen car, has left the hospital. Police say he’s had several surgeries, and has been undergoing rehab, and will continue rehabilitation and therapy as an outpatient.
Morgan, who is 28, has been with the New Britain Police Department nearly a year, after transferring from Northampton, Mass. He was hurt January 19, underwent nine hours of surgery, and had been hospitalized ever since. Police have charged 19-year-old Jaheem Snype with murder and assault.
