NEWINGTON, Conn. (CBS Connecticut) _ The Department of Transportation reported road closures in Durham, Salem and Ellington after vehicles crashed into utility poles Saturday night. Connecticut Light & Power dispatched crews to Waterbury after an accident involving a car and utility pole caused outages early Sunday morning, according to the utility company.
In Durham, Route 68 was closed down at Dunn Hill Road. Route 286 in Ellington was closed at Old Farm Road. Route 85 in Salem was also closed at Witch Meadow Road, but was the first to re-open out of the three. All three unrelated incidents happened around 10:30pm Saturday.
On Twitter, Connecticut Light and Power reported a utility pole crash just after 1am Sunday in Waterbury that knocked out power to residents there.

The outage map reported more than 2,000 customers without power. Power was fully restored a few hours later.
Early Sunday morning accidents also slowed movement on I-91 in Windsor and I-84 in West Hartford.
There is no word on possibly injuries or the exact causes of the crashes.
Officials were warning motorists of icy road conditions on the overnight.
