Teen In Custody Dispute Moved From Children’s Hospital

BOSTON (CBS Connecticut) _ A West Hartford teen who has been the subject of a medical/custody dispute in Massachusetts left Boston Children’s Hospital Friday, according to the Boston Globe,  which reports she was taken to a residential facility in Framingham.

After the hospital and her parents disagreed over the care of 15-year-old Justina Pelletier,  the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families took temporary custody,  prompting a court battle over the teen’s custody and care.

The Globe reports that though she is now in a residential program at Wayside Youth and Family Support Network,  Boston Children’s Hospital will continue to oversee her care until a new care team is named.  It’s not clear how long she will remain at the facility.
