BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) _ Bridgeport police say they arrested a man who stabbed a woman and a person who tried to help her during an apparent robbery attempt.

Police say the two victims were stabbed Thursday afternoon and their injuries don’t appear to be life-threatening. The suspect ran away but was arrested a short time later after police reviewed surveillance camera footage.

The suspect stabbed the woman in her car at about 3 p.m. after she had left a store. Police say she beeped her horn in an effort to get help, and another man who came to her aid was stabbed.

Police haven’t released the names of the suspect and victims.
