2nd Conn. Man Charged In RI Fatal Shooting

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) _ A second New Haven, Conn., man has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting during an alleged botched drug deal in Rhode Island.

Twenty-year-old Lloyd Streater Jr. was arraigned in New Haven Superior Court on Monday and waived extradition to Rhode Island. He’s expected to appear in a Providence court this week.

Police say Streater and 20-year-old Jason King were involved in the killing of 28-year-old Luis Aquino near a Providence nightclub Nov. 4. Another man was shot and survived.

Authorities allege the shooter was King, who was arrested in New Haven last month. He’s fighting extradition.
Both men are detained on bail. It’s not clear if they have lawyers.

Streater is recovering from being shot in his head on New Year’s Day at a New Haven motel.
