Fire Breaks Out At Vacant Meriden Home

MERIDEN, Conn. (CBS Connecticut) – Crews in Meriden responded to the scene of a fire involving a multi-story home on Cook Avenue early Sunday morning.

Authorities were called to the blaze around 3:30am and found the second floor heavily engulfed in flames.

A fire official told WTIC News that crews had been unable to get inside the home. Authorities believe the residents of the home are out of town.

The Meriden Fire Marshal’s Office is currently investigating the cause of the fire.

No injuries were reported.
