WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. (AP) _ More than two dozen flights have been canceled at Connecticut’s Bradley International Airport because of the snow and subzero temperatures hampering travel in the Midwest.

Travelers at Bradley on Monday morning discovered that many flights were canceled, including several to Chicago, Cleveland, Cincinnati and Washington, D.C.

Artic air is moving into a big chunk of the Midwest following a storm that dumped more than a foot of snow and brought high winds. Wind chills are expected to be as low as the minus 50s and 60s in the Midwest.

More than 1,000 flights were canceled Sunday at airports throughout the Midwest.

The National Weather Service says temperatures in Connecticut will return to below freezing by Monday night. Temperatures in the single digits and below zero wind chills are expected Tuesday.
