ANSONIA

Local warm center available at:
Senior Center, 153 Main Street, Friday 1pm-4pm Saturday 8am-4pm

DERBY

Local warming center available at:

ENFIELD

Senior Center, 299 Elm Street, will ber open 5:00 p.m. Friday until 11:00 a.m. Saturday No pets allowed; no special staff or services.

HAMDEN

Local warming center available at:
Hamden High School, Friday 9am- as long as needed

HARTFORD

Anyone in need of shelter is urged to call 211. As long as the temperatures are below 25 degrees, the following shelters will be open 24 hours:

LEDYARD

MERIDEN

MIDDLETOWN

Residents who are in need of respite from the cold are encouraged to seek heated comfort in public buildings. The lobby of the Middletown Police Department, 222 Main Street, which is opened 24 hours a day, will be available to serve as a warming station. Other public facilities such as City Hall will be available as well such as the Russell Library on Broad Street during normal business hours. Elderly persons are encouraged to use the Middletown Senior Center on William Street. Times of operation over the weekend may change, so it is advised to check with these facilities prior to travel.

NORTH BRANFORD

Local warming centers available at:
Atwater Library, Foxon Road North Branford and Smith Library, Old Post Road Northford
Both open Friday 9am-6pm, Saturday 9am-3pm

PLYMOUTH
Town Hall available as a warming center starting at 4pm on Thursday evening until Friday morning. No sleeping faciliites available, only to be used as a place to warm up and have a cup of coffee.

RIDGEFIELD

The Parks and Recreation Center, 195 Danbury Road, is open as a warming center daily from 6am-10pm.
People who need warming facilities overnight can contact fire dispatch at 203-438-6531 and arrangements will be made individually.

SIMSBURY

Due to anticipated extreme cold temperatures the Town of Simsbury has opened two Warming Centers for Simsbury residents:
Simsbury Public Library, 725 Hopmeadow Street – 860 658-7663
Hours: Thursday, 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Friday, 9:30 AM – 5:30
Saturday, 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Sunday, 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Eno Memorial Hall, 754 Hopmeadow Street – 860 658-3273
Hours: Thursday and Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

STAMFORD
With temperatures expected to drop into the single digits, the city is opening its firehouses and the Government Center to help keep residents warm.
Capt. Tom Wuennemann said the city’s five firehouses and Government Center will be open as warming centers for residents with power or heating problems.
Wuennemann said the city is preparing a schedule to open the firehouses and Government Center while frigid temperatures and between eight and 10 inches of snow are forecast over the next 24 hours

Senior Center and Emergency Services building normal business hours only; Town will monitor situation and adjust if necessary
