State Police Release Holiday Statistics

HARTFORD (CBS Connecticut) — Connecticut State Police have released numbers from their latest holiday traffic enforcement detail.

From the period beginning midnight December 30 through early this morning, troopers had investigated 84 accidents, 17 of which involved injury.

State police report no fatalities on the roads for the New Year’s period.

They issued 560 speeding citiations, 16 for not wearing seatbelts, and a little more than one-thousand for hazardous moving violations.

Eighteen were arrested on DUI offenses.
