(East Hampton, Conn./CBS Connecticut) All is well at a post office in East Hampton’s Cobalt section at 371 West High St. after the State Department of Energy and Environmental Protection was called to the scene earlier today because of a foul odor noticed by a worker there as well as a customer.
The postal worker apparently lost consciousness and was taken to Middlesex Hospital, but is fine. The patron experienced no symptoms.
Spokesman Dwayne Gardner says, “We made an entry into the building, performed air monitoring, found nothing hazardous and there’s no odor present right now.”
The post office is still closed.
