Connecticut Looking To Form Business Partnership With Israel

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) – Connecticut officials say the state is partnering with a group in Israel to strengthen business ties and collaboration.

The state Department of Economic and Community Development led a trade delegation to Israel earlier this month to seek out opportunities in sectors including aerospace, biotechnology, insurance and precision manufacturing.

Gov. Dannel P. Malloy announced on Wednesday that the department had entered into an agreement with the Israel Tech Transfer Organization to foster collaboration.

The ITTO is nonprofit organization that serves as an umbrella organization for Israeli technology companies.

Malloy says the agreement will help Connecticut companies expand their capability for research and development and bring new investment to the state.
