“At Least Two” Groups Interested In NHL Franchise Are Interested In Hartford

Governor Malloy says  “at least two groups” are interested in acquiring a National Hockey League team about the possibility of relocating to Hartford.

Malloy told reporters after the State Bond Commission hearing Friday that  he thinks UConn’s entry into the “Hockey East” conference will help show potential owners the depth of hockey interest in the region.

The Bond Commission approved $1.8 million for improvements to the XL Center.
