UNCASVILLE, Conn. (AP) – A Massachusetts man who was driving a casino tour bus that struck and killed a pedestrian at Mohegan Sun last year has been arrested.
Connecticut state police say 39-year-old Lin Qi Si of Braintree, Mass., was charged last week with failure to yield to a pedestrian at a crosswalk and negligent homicide with a motor vehicle.
He is free on a promise to appear for a Dec. 19 court hearing in Norwich.
The bus struck and killed 62-year-old Pui Yi Li on Dec. 5, 2012.
Si told police he did not see Li until he struck her and the investigation found his view may have been obstructed.
But an investigator said it was the driver’s responsibility to adjust for blind spots.
A phone listing for Si could not be found.
